Dr David E Clarke BVSc, Diplomate AVDC, Fellow AVD, MANZCVSc Registered Specialist, Veterinary Surgery (Dentistry), joins the team at D.A.V.I.D.
Dr Clarke is a leading dental specialist currently based in Melbourne, but travelling far afield to pass on his knowledge to veterinarians and veterinary students around the Asia Pacific region. In between running his successful specialist dental practice in Hallam, Victoria and fulfilling his roles of clinical dentist at Melbourne University and adjunct associate lecturer at Massey University in New Zealand, David is also the veterinary dentist at Werribee, Healesville, Taronga, Dubbo, Adelaide and Monarto zoos.
David’s clinical interests include oral health in the domestic pet population, in particular the reduction of plaque using dietary and chemical means; analgesic and antibiotic usage for dentistry; undergraduate dental education for veterinary students; continuing dental education of veterinarians and nurses; and oral biology and dental disease in Australian marsupials.
Providing the interpretation and oversight of the clinical results Dr Clarke has donated over 100,000 radiographs and images to D.A.V.I.D. He is constantly reviewing performance and helping increase the machine learning of our application.
